About the university

“Study the future” is the motto of the Berliner Hochschule für Technik, which was founded in 1971 as the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin through the merger of four state engineering academies in Berlin, was called Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin from 2009 to 2021 and has been called Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) since then.

The BHT offers the largest range of engineering courses in Berlin and Brandenburg and is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Germany with over 12,300 students.

Over 70 accredited bachelor's and master's degree programmes offer a wide range of courses in applied engineering, natural sciences and economics: The spectrum ranges from the classic engineering disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial and civil engineering and architecture to innovative courses such as media informatics, biotechnology, medical physics, food technology, screen-based media, geoinformation, event technology and management.

The BHT represents a career-oriented, future-proof course of study. The short study periods and the high level of practical relevance enable a smooth entry into everyday professional and working life.

For business and industry, the BHT is an attractive partner for cooperation and joint projects. The focus is on applied research, and the BHT laboratories also produce their own patents. Together with their professors, students contribute ideas and initiative to the success of many research projects.

Stellenticket Berliner Hochschule für Technik is is run in collaboration with the university's Career Service. Here, job advertisers have many opportunities to present themselves to students and graduates in addition to placing an advertisement on the university campus.
