Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Application programmer - 0.5 working time - salary grade E 9a TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

If all personal and collective bargaining requirements are met, the employee will be placed in the specified pay group.

Working field:

The Departments "Action and Automation Psychology" and "Cognitive Psychology and Ergonomics" conduct research on the topics of automation and human-robot interaction from a psychological perspective. We are looking for an application programmer to join our teams, who will also assist with system administration. Specifically, it is about:

Creating, testing and documenting application software:

  • Programming complex dynamic task scenarios, for virtual reality applications and cloud/computer-based assisted working applications (with assistance systems or robots)
  • Programming of data backup and special evaluation routines for the above-mentioned applications
  • Programming of platforms for web-based research projects

VR Lab system administration

  • Technical support and further development of IT equipment

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor´s degree or accordingly university degree (FH Diplom) in MultiMediaArt / Game Design / Game Development / Computer Science or similar
  • Comprehensive knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine, Python)
  • Preferably experience in the creation of computer-based games
  • Structured and creative work
  • Enjoy programming

  • Team-orientation & willingness to cooperate
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English; willingness to acquire any missing language skills
